The Influence of Relative Humidity on cells
• At a high percentage cells consist of water.
• A balance between the water inside the cell and the humidity of its ambiance is very important.
• Differences and fluctuations cause irreparable cell damages.
• For cell growth and vitality it is absolutely necessary to reach a high and homogeneous relative humidity of the cells surrounding.
At the active sterile humidity supply bidestilled water is vaporised by an evaporator at 120°C. The vaporised water is distributed very homogeneous into the interior by an air control system. This method involves extremely short recovery times and an extremely reduced risk of contamination. The relative humidity in the interior is exactly adjustable between 60-95%.
This is why we say - prevention instead of decontamination.
